What is a Microsoft Account?
A Microsoft account is an email address and password that we use to access the products and services offered by Microsoft like Outlook.com, Hotmail, Office, OneDrive, Skype, Xbox, and Windows.
Recover your Microsoft Account with your recovery email
Step 1 – Open Microsoft’s official website/ click here
Step 2 – Click sign in
Step 3 – Enter the email address of the Microsoft account that you have to recover and then click on the next.
Step 4 – Click on forgot password. You need to verify your identity. For that, you will be shown multiple options like verifying through recovery email or phone number.
Step 5 – Try to recover our Microsoft account with a recovery email. Select the email option and click on next.
To verify that the recovery email address belongs to you, complete the hidden part of the email address by writing it and clicking on the get code to receive the same.
Step 6 – Login to your recovery email. You may have received a code from Microsoft.
Fill in the code and click on next. Now you will be able to see the option to reset your Microsoft Account password.

Recover your Microsoft account without a phone number and recovery email
Step 1 – Open Microsoft’s official website/ click here
Step 2 – Click sign in
Step 3 – Enter the email address of the Microsoft account that you have to recover and then click on the next.
Step 4 – Click on forgot password. We assume that you don’t have access to the recovery email or phone number.
So then click on the option I don’t have any of these.
Step 5 – You will be redirected to another page to recover your account.
Here you will be asked for a contact email address. Where Microsoft support will contact you.
You need to give an email address different from the one you are trying to recover. Also, keep in mind that you must have access to that email address.
Enter the captcha and click on next.
Step 6 – Microsoft Account team will send a code to the email address which you had given to contact you. Enter the code given and click on verify.
Finally, you will be asked a few more questions to ensure that the account belongs to you. Fill in the details asked and click on next.
Step 7 – You will be redirected to a new page where you can reset your Microsoft account password.
