Finally starting from 1 Feb 2023 Google has rolled out revenue sharing on Youtube shorts.

It simply means that now YouTube shorts creators will now be able to earn money from the ads that will be played between the shorts known as shorts feed ads.

This new policy is going to replace the YouTube Shorts Fund.

You will have to sign an agreement with YouTube to join the YouTube Partner Program.

YouTube Shorts creators can now join YouTube Partner Programme (YPP) and earn money.

How YouTube Shorts creators can join YPP?

YouTube shorts creators can become eligible to join YPP once they complete 1000 subscribers and 10M valid public shorts views in the last 90 days.

Also, creators can also qualify for YPP by completing 1000 subscribers and 4000 valid watch hours in the last 12 months in long-form videos.

Apart from that your content should follow YouTube’s content originality policy.

This means that the content you upload on YouTube must be your original content. It should not be copied or someone else content.

YouTube promotes content that is original and adds value to the viewers. Spinful content will not work for you.

Reused content is allowed on YouTube if there is a meaningful difference between the original and reused video.
